Three thousand years in one city. Two days is the bare minimum and you will still leave things out. Book the Colosseum and the Vatican Museums in advance or you will queue for hours.

Questions visitors ask us
When is the best time to visit Italy?
April to June and September to October. July and August are hot, crowded and expensive, especially on the coast. Cities like Rome and Florence are pleasant in winter and far cheaper.
Do I need to book museums in advance?
Yes, for the Colosseum, the Vatican Museums, the Uffizi and The Last Supper. Some of these sell out weeks ahead. Turning up on the day usually means not getting in.
Should I rent a car?
Not for Rome, Florence, Venice or Naples: parking is difficult and city centres are restricted zones with automatic fines. For Tuscany, Sicily, Puglia and Sardinia a car is close to essential.
How much does a trip to Italy cost?
It depends entirely on season and standard. Tell us your dates, how long you have and a rough budget, and we will give you a real figure rather than a range.
What language do you reply in?
In writing, in yours. Email and WhatsApp we handle in English, Spanish, German and French; phone calls we take in Italian and English. If your language is not on the list, write anyway — we will find a way.
How do I pay?
Bank transfer or card. Usually a deposit on confirmation and the balance before departure. You receive a formal contract and an invoice, as Italian law requires.
